Artist Statement
"Somewhere In Ohio" is a painting that comes from my deep connection to the places I grew up in. Ohio’s rolling fields, peaceful ponds, and quiet country paths were a big part of my childhood, and I’ve always been drawn to the simple beauty of the countryside. This piece is a way for me to honor those early memories, where nature felt like both a playground and a peaceful escape.

In this painting, I’ve tried to capture the calm and timeless feel of rural Ohio as I remember it. The winding path leading to a rustic barn, the pond with ducks gliding by, and the wide, open sky are all things that stuck with me from those days. The greens and soft colors of the wildflowers remind me of lazy summer afternoons, while the old barn stands strong, just like those landscapes that have stood the test of time.
